BAI offers a complete line of specialized equipment designed specifically to support the successful operation, recovery, and maintenance of unmanned aircraft systems.

BAI's support equipment has been designed to work in harmony with the other parts of our UAS system, and in most cases, can be tailored to meet other special requirements too; many of BAI's customers for support equipment are other UAV manufacters who prefer to purchase off-the-shelf solutions rather than re-engineer such items as Starters, Fuel Transfer Pumps, and Launchers.

Launchers

BAI has designed and manufactured launchers for a wide range of unmanned aircraft, and delivered systems around the world! Our launchers have lofted all sorts of air vehicles, from lightweight hand launched systems to ones weighing over 250 pounds! BAI's proven designs are adaptable to many aircraft configurations. Whether your requirement is for a small bungee system, or a heavy-duty trailer mounted pneumatic launcher, BAI can deliver!

Emergency Recovery Systems

BAI's experience with UAS recovery systems dates to 1985, when we demonstrated the first-ever at-sea parafoil recovery of a miniature UAS for the United States Coast Guard. BAI works with industry leaders to combine the right combination of components for a properly integrated solution. If a recovery system is part of your UAS's requirement, be assured that BAI Aerosystems can supply the equipment and know-how for your application.

BAI offers a parafoil system with:

	Wave-off feature activated from the GCS
	Maneuverability during an emergency descent
	30 minute re-pack ability after landing
	Significantly reduces air speed

Starters

BAI can supply an appropriate starter for a broad range of UAS, from small glow-type engines, to large multi-cylinder and heavy-fuel engines. BAI's starters feature heavy-duty 12 volt motors and switches, and BAI's unique starter drive mechanism that actually releases the starter from the engine once it begins to fire. This mechanism has been successfully used by BAI and its customers for many years to ensure safe starting. Both cordless and corded starters are available.

Fuel Transfer Pump

This unit is designed to provide years of reliable service, to help ensure reliable operation of the system. With a BAI high-volume fuel transfer pump, fueling your air vehicle is performed quickly and safely. BAI starts with a legendary Holley racing fuel pump, then adds a filtration system to trap contaminants. Fuel-compatible hoses and fittings are used throughout, and the versatile power system can use an internally mounted battery (not included) or external 12 volt power supply. All components are housed in a durable ammunition container.

Connectors

BAI created its "106" series connector in response to widespread demand for a mate to the military's popular BA-5590/U Lithium battery as well as the BB390, BB59 and similar batteries, used for SINCGARS and many other applications.
