BAI to demonstrate Evolution and Tern UAVs at Pax River

EASTON, MD BAI Aerosystems will demonstrate two of its small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles at the 3rd UAV Air Demonstration, sponsored by the Program Executive Office for Strike Weapons and Unmanned Aviation.

The day-long event will take place on June 27, 2005, at the Webster Field Annex of Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD, and will include 17 flight demonstrations and static displays. BAI is one of just three companies flying multiple aircraft.

2005 marks the third time BAI is participating in the event, held every other year in conjunction with AUVSI’s annual conference, Unmanned Systems, which takes place at the Baltimore Convention Center June 28-30, 2005.

BAI will demonstrate Evolution, its rucksack-portable UAV, and Tern, its tactical UAV. Evolution will feature a newly designed pneumatic launcher, while Tern will utilize a revolutionary launch and recovery system.
