Air
Vehicles
BAI
manufactures a family of air vehicles to fulfill a variety of user
requirements. Each air vehicle's design is based on accepted aerodynamic
principles, and every air vehicle type has been proven through
many years of flight performance by BAI and our customers.
Wherever
possible, air vehicle components have been tooled for production
to ensure consistent fit and interchangeability of components, even
among aircraft from different production lots. Careful process control
and precision fixturing enable reproducibility of critical manufacturing
steps.
BAI
uses, as required, wood, metal, and composite structures to construct
its air vehicles. CNC machines, abrasive water jets, or lasers are
used for precision cutting of metal, plastic and wood, while wet
lay-up is generally used by BAI to produce carbon-fiber, fiberglass,
and Kevlar composite parts.
The
air vehicle itself is only the starting point for the design of
any UAS. BAI's knowledgeable engineering staff can assist
you with the selection of an appropriate UAS to meet your specific
needs, based on mission objectives, payload size, weight and power
requirements, and operational concerns. BAI can also create custom
solutions to meet unique requirements. We enjoy engineering challenges!
